IONOS, a leading European digitalization partner and trusted cloud provider, and Virtual Cable, a Spanish company specialized in digital workplace transformation, have signed a strategic agreement to drive digital sovereignty for enterprises. As part of this alliance, Virtual Cable joins the IONOS Cloud Partner Program as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) under the Bring Your Own License (BYOL) model.
A strategic alliance to drive digital sovereignty
This agreement will enable Virtual Cable customers to deploy UDS Enterprise, its solution for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), applications, and remote access, on the secure and sovereign cloud infrastructure of IONOS. This allows organizations to provide employees and collaborators with a modern, flexible, and scalable digital workplace, integrating corporate applications while ensuring that both data and business applications are hosted in European data centers, fully compliant with the strictest data protection regulations, such as GDPR.
European cloud infrastructure with maximum security and data control
“In a context shaped by geopolitical uncertainty and a growing need for control over digital assets, the IONOS cloud removes any doubt when launching a digital project,” says Guillermo Arana, IONOS Cloud Manager in Spain. “Our platform, based on open standards and operated in Europe, ensures full digital sovereignty and maximum legal security. The collaboration with Virtual Cable strengthens our ecosystem and enables Spanish companies to access a leading VDI solution on a fully trusted infrastructure.”
Flexibility, scalability, and efficiency for the digital workplace
The partnership combines the flexibility and customization of Virtual Cable’s UDS Enterprise platform with the performance, scalability, and resilience of the IONOS cloud infrastructure. This enables organizations to achieve centralized and secure management of their work environments, optimizing operational efficiency and enhancing the end-user experience.
A strategic step for both companies
“The alliance with IONOS is a natural and strategic step for both companies,” says Félix Casado, CEO of Virtual Cable. “Data sovereignty is a top priority on every CIO’s agenda. From now on, our customers will be able to deploy a flexible and customizable virtual desktop solution on IONOS’s 100% European cloud. This not only guarantees efficient performance and scalability, but also ensures that their most valuable asset in digital transformation—their data—fully complies with EU regulatory frameworks at all times.”
Commitment to digital sovereignty and business competitiveness
This agreement reinforces both companies’ commitment to delivering European technology solutions that strengthen digital independence and business competitiveness in an increasingly complex and regulated environment.
