After being selected last year for Best SME Technological Innovation, CEPYME has now decided that Virtual Cable deserves to be in the final of the top category of its recognitions.
With these awards, the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises (CEPYME) acknowledges the figure of the small and medium-sized businesses and their contribution to economic, social progress and job creation.
Félix Casado, CEO of Virtual Cable, is very proud that the company he leads is one of the three most outstanding SMEs of 2022. “Being nominated in the most relevant category of these awards is already a recognition that places us at the forefront of the IT sector companies and reaffirms our innovative character as software developers.”
Speaking about the conditions that the company meets to be chosen SME of the Year, Casado explains that “Virtual Cable is an atypical small business, especially considering our activity. As a manufacturer of workplace virtualization software, we compete with technological giants. We are a team of less than ten people based in Rivas-Vaciamadrid, and we have managed to position ourselves in more than one hundred and ten countries, becoming leaders in different sectors, such as Education, to name an example. Our growth remains outstanding despite the difficulties that the IT sector is facing. Therefore, we believe that our company is a good candidate to win the SME of the Year award granted by CEPYME.”
Regarding Virtual Cable’s strengths to become the SME of the Year, the CEO of the company highlights that “one of our strengths is Virtual Cable’s differentiation as a software developer that has managed to carve out a niche in the market with an open, flexible, secure, technically advanced, and cost-effective VDI solution. It is also noteworthy our exceptional position in a demanding and highly competitive sector, dominated by large US technology companies, which has allowed us to achieve enviable results in recent years. We have reference clients such as an important police force in Canada, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, or the Directorate of Civil Protection and Emergencies, dependent on the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Spain.”
