These awards are given within OpenExpo Europe 2019, the largest business event on Open Source & Free Software innovation in Europe. They recognize and reward Open IT Innovation projects and initiatives that have stood out the most in the last year.The category we lead will reward the company or public administration that has managed to establish itself as a benchmark success in its sector thanks to the application or implementation of open technologies. This is the particular case of the Public Centre for Social Welfare in Eupen, which relies on Open Source and free software systems. That’s why for their VDI infrastructure they chose a full Open Source VDI stack composed of XCP-ng hypervisor, Xen Orchestra management interface and UDS Enterprise connection broker for desktop and application virtualization. Next Thursday June 20 the ceremony of the Open Awards 2019 will be held in Madrid. We will be there to explain and defend our application and desktop virtualization project in front of the public and the jury, who will have the final word to choose the winners of each category.
