The two projects with the UDS Enterprise connection broker nominated at @asLAN Awards for Projects in Public Administration have entered the final phase. Yesterday we announced that the Virtual Desktop for Special Education Project with UDS Enterprise developed by the University of Murcia is eligible for the award in the category “Bridging the digital divide and sustainability”. Today we are pleased to announce that our application virtualization project in the Badajoz Provincial Council is also a finalist of this event, in this case in the category “Optimization and simplification of digital infrastructures”.

EVA project finalist @asLAN 2014

The project of virtual desktops EVA was selected as a finalist in the @asLAN 2014 Awards in the category of Administrations and Public Organizations.

This initiative, promoted by the technological partner VirtualCable, has allowed virtualize the classrooms of free access of the University, in such a way that the students may have a desktop with everything necessary for the realization of their professional training through an Internet connection. In this way, mobility has been improved. Also the university staff uses this service both to access from home to the computing resources of the university, as well as to carry out training courses.
