Virtual Cable’s project for the Secure Digitalization of Workplaces at the General Directorate of Civil Protection and Emergencies (DGPCyE) has been awarded the Socinfo Digital Award “STATE FORCES AND SECURITY BODIES ITC” in the Technological Innovation for Disasters Category. This recognition underscores Virtual Cable’s solutions’ commitment to security and efficiency in critical environments.

Trust and security with Virtual Cable’s UDS Government: The DGPCyE’s choice

DGPCyE, the governing body of the Ministry of Home Affairs, responsible for coordinating responses to emergencies and disasters, relies on UDS Government to ensure uninterrupted availability of its services with total security. “When an emergency arises, DGPCyE workers must be able to address it, so our workplaces must be accessible 24×7, from anywhere and any device,” explains Francisco Javier Navas González, Director of Information Systems Program at DGPCyE.

Implemented by SIA Icasys, Virtual Cable’s VDI solution for Public Administration provides them with the mobility and security necessary to maintain their operations at all times, allowing controlled access to sensitive information from personal and corporate devices. Virtual desktops and applications are shielded with security policies that adapt to optimal protection measures for each user profile. This helps prevent data loss and ensures compliance with the highest security standards.

Virtual Cable and UDS Enterprise: Ensuring State security

The award was accepted by the Director of Information Systems Program at DGPyE from Álvaro Fernández, Sophos’ Iberia Sales Manager, during the Digital Transformation of State Security Forces and Bodies event held at the National Institute of Public Administration on Wednesday, March 20. Francisco Javier Navas González thanked the support of Virtual Cable, the developer company of UDS Enterprise: “Without Virtual Cable’s support, the project could not have been carried out.”

The aim of these awards is to disseminate Information and Communication Technology development projects in Public Administrations applied to citizen services and internally to improve efficiency. They also recognize the effort and dedication of professionals who have faced critical situations with initiatives, solutions, exemplary behavior, solidarity, efficiency, and hard work.
